General Purpose Materials

BenchRebel currently offers three general purpose materials. The properties of a given raw material vary greatly in their strengths, and no single property trumps all others. For example, Fast Model resin is not well suited for presentation-ready detail though it does boast the fastest print speed of any Formlabs resin, making it ideal for rapid prototyping. In contrast, both versatile and color resins can be printed in presentation-ready detail with color resin enabling a close color-match, skipping any final paint or dye work.

The examples highlighted above, and many more variables, will impact how a product is designed and manufactured. To help with that decision, design guidelines are provided below.

Versatile resins offer a balance of speed, accuracy, aesthetics, and mechanical properties to create parts that rival injection molding.

Colors available:
Black, Clear, Grey, and White

Color resins can be custom ordered to closely match a final product without painting or dying. Speed, accuracy, aesthetics, and mechanical properties are the same/similar to the versatile line of resins.

Fast Model Resin is ideal for initial prototypes where speed and cost are more important than other characteristics.
