Toolhead interference almost always happens when stock wiper pads deform, lift, or fail to seat completely flush in the housing. Making the problem worse, the stock wiper is stiff and blocky, resulting in unexpected movement on contact that can randomly lift and deform the wiper. To ensure the wiper stays there, the wiper blade and brush features deflect as they should, even if the toolhead makes unexpected contact, maintaining effective nozzle scrubbing without interfering with startup homing routines, filament color changes or user-reported printhead drag.
